Kristijonas Lapinskas Bio

Kristijonas is a true artistic polymath, adept in a wide range of mediums. He crafts avant-garde and documentary films and scripts, creates captivating drawings, produces stunning graphic art, sculpts pottery, and weaves poetry. Additionally, his talents extend to mobile photography and calligraphy. He possesses the rare ability to bring forth creations from scratch, a testament to his boundless creativity and dedication. Constantly immersed in his artistic process, Kristijonas works tirelessly, embodying his personal beliefs and subjective values some believes that he possesses contemporary perceptions. But he keeps himself grounded and humble. Following a stroke, he gained the extraordinary ability to speak in thousands of Asemic languages, a testament to his deep meditation and concentration. Since 2017, Kristijonas has been affiliated with ART Elementals, esteemed art collectors based in the USA. He in disciplined manner produces artwork everyday, employing a method of selection and rejection. His repertoire includes digital and non-digital paintings, calligraphy creations, main field artist explores is asemic writing in this particular stream Kristijonas developed masterful skills. Kristijonas’s artistic journey has been shaped by his studies in Media Arts at Vilnius Academy of Art, as well as a Film/Theater Actor course at Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy under the guidance of Eimuntas Nekrosius. He also honed his skills in ceramics at Vilnius School of Technologies and delved into Media Art Technology at the same institution. In 2015, Kristijonas embarked on Asemic Writing, and proved himself to be among the most interesting asemic creators in the scene. His exploration of this language of Light culminated in his first exhibition, “Am I an Artist,” held in Vilnius in 2018. The support of ART Elementals led to another successful group exhibition in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, in 2019. Notably, he collaborated with renowned calligraphy artist RasTersms and who travels the United States with his art.His visual poetry was featured and published on various blogs. Beyond his achievements in Fine Arts, Kristijonas proves himself to be an exceptional filmmaker. He has written, directed, and filmed two full-length feature films: “The Doors” (2010), “Enlightenment” (2012), and “Rehab or Die” (2016). Collaborating with director Jurgis Matulevicius, on his short films he has taken on diverse roles such as location scouting and script authorship for “Anima Animus” (2012), script doctoring for “Victim” (2013), scenography assistance for “Interrogator” (2014), and art department assistance for “Isaac” (2016). In 2014, Kristijonas worked as a best boy and runner at the film studio “Kinema,” showcasing his versatility and dedication to the craft. He also ventured into acting, playing the role of Romas Kalanta in the successful Lithuanian film “Emilija iš Laisvės alėjos,” directed by Donatas Ulvydas. Kristijonas Lapinskas, a true artistic force, continues to captivate audiences and push boundaries with his multimedia brand creations @ithanthornton @logiclyconscious, is a remarkable mixed-media artist, writer, and filmmaker whose creative prowess knows no bounds. Unfettered by the expectations of the ordinary world, Kristijonas continue to weave his calligraphies, bridging the divide between light and darkness, and leaving an indelible mark upon the history of Asemics. For last two years, Kristijonas explores theme of war in Ukraine. Also Kristijonas is an artist who embraces the presence of occasional psychotic episodes as a significant part of his creative journey. During these episodes, he delves into the depths of his subconscious, producing graphic content that fuels his artistic expression. By openly sharing this aspect of his life, he challenges mental health stigma and offer a unique perspective on the creative process. Expanding on this exploration, for the past three years he, alongside his brother, has been conducting phenomenological studies for a feature documentary investigating the subjective and objective perceptions of madness, set for completion by December 2025.
